2.1 Free DVSA Check

A free service that provides:

• MOT history
• Vehicle recall information
• Basic vehicle details

2.2 Paid Comprehensive Report (£8.99)

A paid service that includes everything in the free check plus:

• Outstanding finance check
• Police stolen vehicle check
• Insurance stolen vehicle check
• Write-off and salvage history
• Plate change history
• Colour change history
• Mileage verification
• Vehicle identity check
• High-risk indicators
• Tax status and band information
• Additional technical specifications

3. Third-Party Data Sources

The information provided in our reports is sourced from third-party data providers, including but not limited to:

• Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) - vehicle registration and tax data
• Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) - MOT history and recall data
• Experian - finance agreements, stolen vehicle records, write-off data
• UK Vehicle Data (UKVD) - additional vehicle specifications and history
• Police National Computer (PNC) - via authorised providers
• Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register (MIAFTR) - via authorised providers

We do not own, control, or verify the accuracy of data held by these third-party sources. The information we provide is only as accurate and complete as the data supplied to us by these providers.

Reasons why data may be incomplete or inaccurate:

• Not all finance agreements are registered with finance databases
• Stolen vehicles may not be reported to police or may be reported with incorrect details
• Write-offs may not be recorded if not claimed through insurance
• There may be delays between events occurring and data being updated in databases
• Historical records may be incomplete, especially for older vehicles

• Vehicles imported from outside the UK may have limited history

5. Experian Data Guarantee

Certain data within our paid reports is provided by Experian. Experian offers a guarantee of up to £10,000 in relation to outstanding finance, stolen status, and write-off information obtained through their services, subject to Experian's own terms and conditions.

This guarantee is provided directly by Experian, not by Discount Car Check or Cheap As Checks Ltd. Any claims under this guarantee must be made directly to Experian in accordance with their procedures. We can provide contact details for Experian upon request.

The Experian guarantee is subject to specific conditions and exclusions. Please refer to Experian's terms for full details.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services or reliance on the information provided, including but not limited to: loss of profit, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or vehicle purchase decisions
• We shall not be liable for any losses arising from inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in data supplied to us by third-party providers
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the relevant report
• We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing Services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits:

• Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law

7. Your Responsibilities

When using our Services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information, including correct vehicle registration marks
• Use the information for your own personal use only, not for commercial resale or redistribution
• Not use our Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Conduct your own independent checks and inspections before purchasing any vehicle
• Verify information in reports against physical documents (V5C logbook, MOT certificates, service history) before making purchasing decisions
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access our systems without authorisation

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is the property of Cheap As Checks Ltd or our licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

You may print or download a copy of your vehicle report for personal use. You may share a printed copy with a potential buyer or seller of the vehicle to which the report relates. You may not sell, resell, or commercially distribute our reports or any content from our Website.

9. Payment and Pricing

Paid reports are currently priced at £8.99 (inclusive of VAT where applicable). We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but price changes will not affect reports you have already purchased.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Your report will be made available immediately upon successful payment confirmation.

10. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our digital Services, refunds are not automatically provided once a report has been generated and delivered.

However, we consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a refund if:

• We were unable to retrieve data for the vehicle registration you provided
• Technical issues on our end prevented delivery of your report
• You were charged multiple times for the same report due to a system error

To request a refund, please contact us at support@discountcarcheck.co.uk within 14 days of your purchase, providing your order details and reason for the request.

Refunds will not be provided simply because you are dissatisfied with the information contained in a report or because the vehicle has issues revealed by the check.

11. Report Access and Expiry

Paid reports can be accessed via a unique link sent to your email address or through your account on our Website.

Reports remain accessible for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, you will need to purchase a new report if you require updated information.

We recommend downloading or printing a copy of your report for your records.

12. Website Availability

We aim to ensure our Website and Services are available 24/7. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and shall not be liable for any unavailability due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance
• Technical failures or issues beyond our control
• Third-party service provider outages
• Internet connectivity issues
• Force majeure events

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cheap As Checks Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
